عبد اللطيف حويل

عبد اللطيف حويل (عبد اللطيف محمد الهوني) فنان ومطرب وملحن ليبي، وُلد في طرابلس عام 1929 وترعرع في المدينة القديمة. بدأ الغناء في الأفراح، ثم انضم إلى الإذاعة الليبية سنة 1957 وكان أول عمل سجله أغنية "يا مشكاي". قدّم مئات الأغاني، ولحّن نحو خمسين لحنًا من بينها "يصبح عليك الورد" و"راحلة"، وكان عضوًا في فرقة المالوف والموشحات بالإذاعة ومن مؤسسي فرقة الشروق، كما درّس مادة المالوف والموشحات بمعهد جمال الدين الميلادي. توفي في 7 أكتوبر 2025 عن عمر ناهز 96 عامًا.

Abdulatif Hwayl (Abdulatif Mohammed al-Hawni) was a Libyan artist, singer and composer, born in Tripoli in 1929 and raised in the old city. He began singing at weddings before joining Libyan Radio in 1957, where his first recorded song was "Ya Mishkai". He performed hundreds of songs and composed around fifty melodies, including "Yisbah Alayk al-Ward" and "Rahila". He was a member of the radio's Malouf and Muwashshahat ensemble, a founding member of the Al-Shorouk troupe, and taught Malouf and Muwashshahat at the Jamal Eddine al-Milady Institute. He died on 7 October 2025 at the age of 96.
