عبد الرحمن آمين

عبد الرحمن محمد الأمين قنيوة موسيقار وملحن ليبي، كان عضوًا مؤسسًا لأول فرقة جامعية في ليبيا سنة 1963 بالجامعة الليبية ببنغازي إلى جانب عبد الله السباعي وعلي ماهر ووحيد خالد. لحّن أكثر من ثلاثمائة قصيد وابتهال ديني لإذاعات ليبيا وإذاعة طرابلس المحلية وإذاعة صوت أفريقيا، ووضع الموسيقى التصويرية لعدد من المسلسلات المرئية والمسموعة خلال السبعينيات والثمانينيات والتسعينيات، منها مسلسل «أيام لها تاريخ» بجزأيه. سجّل أعمالًا موسيقية وغنائية مع فرقة إسطنبول السيمفونية سنة 1979، وأدى بعض ألحانه مطربون عرب منهم نجاة الصغيرة وكارم محمود ومحمد ثروت. تولى مناصب ثقافية عدة منها عمادة معهد جمال الدين الميلادي للموسيقى والمسرح ورئاسة المركز القومي للدراسات وأبحاث الموسيقى العربية، وتوفي في 27 مارس 2020.

Abdulrahman Muhammad al-Amin Qniwa was a Libyan composer and musician, and a founding member of Libya's first university ensemble, formed in 1963 at the Libyan University in Benghazi alongside Abdullah al-Sibai, Ali Maher and Wahid Khaled. He composed more than three hundred sung poems and religious devotional pieces for Libyan radio, Tripoli local radio and the Voice of Africa station, and wrote scores for television and radio serials through the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s, including both parts of "Ayyam Laha Tarikh". In 1979 he recorded instrumental and vocal works with the Istanbul Symphony Orchestra, and several of his compositions were performed by Arab singers including Najat al-Saghira, Karem Mahmoud and Muhammad Tharwat. He held a number of cultural posts, among them dean of the Jamal al-Din al-Miladi Institute for Music and Theatre and head of the National Centre for Arab Music Studies and Research. He died on 27 March 2020.
