عوض المالكي

عوض المالكي مطرب وشاعر من مطربي الأغنية البدوية في الصحراء الغربية بمصر، ويلقب بكروان الصحراء الغربية. غنى بالفلكلور البدوي المشترك بين شرق ليبيا والصحراء الغربية المصرية، فانتشرت تسجيلاته في ليبيا وأحيا بها عددا من الحفلات، ومن أشهر أعماله عليك ولايل وانتي عظمة والمجرودة. تتلمذ على يديه مطربون من الأغنية البدوية المصرية من بينهم خميس ناجي. توفي إثر حادث تعرض له في ليبيا مطلع التسعينيات.

Awad Maleki was a singer and poet of the bedouin song tradition of Egypt's Western Desert, known as the nightingale of the Western Desert. He sang in the bedouin folklore shared between eastern Libya and the Egyptian Western Desert, so his recordings circulated widely in Libya where he also performed, and his best known works include Aleik Walayel, Enti Azma and the mujruda form. Egyptian bedouin singers including Khamis Nagy trained under him. He died after an accident in Libya in the early 1990s.
