نوري كمال

نوري كمال هو الاسم الفني للمطرب والملحن الليبي خليفة الفرجاني المرغني، المولود في شارع ميزران بمدينة طرابلس سنة 1936، وقد فقد بصره منذ الولادة فدرس القرآن في كُتّاب المنطقة ثم انضم إلى فرق الموالد والمألوف. اكتشفه الموسيقار كاظم نديم الذي تبناه فنيًا ومنحه اسمه الفني، وفي مطلع الستينات أكمل دراسته في معهد الموسيقى العربية بالقاهرة، ثم عاد إلى طرابلس أستاذًا للمألوف والموشحات في معهد جمال الدين الميلادي للموسيقى والمسرح واعتُمد مطربًا وملحنًا في الإذاعة. في الثمانينات أسس فرقة للابتهالات الدينية بالإذاعة، وترك أكثر من خمسين أغنية من أشهرها خود الريشة وذوقي الشوق واحتاري شوية ويا ناس عيشوا خوت وفكرتينا يا زهرة الياسمين. توفي في 23 أبريل 1993، وشقيقه الفنان محمد الفرجاني من رواد قسم الموسيقى في طرابلس.

Nouri Kamal was the stage name of the Libyan singer and composer Khalifa Al-Farjani Al-Marghani, born on Mizran Street in Tripoli in 1936. Blind from birth, he studied the Quran at a local kuttab and then joined the mawalid and maluf ensembles. The musician Kazem Nadim discovered him, took him on as a protege and gave him his stage name. In the early 1960s he completed his studies at the Institute of Arab Music in Cairo, returned to Tripoli as a teacher of maluf and muwashshahat at the Jamal al-Din al-Miladi Institute for Music and Theatre, and was formally accredited as a singer and composer at the radio. In the 1980s he founded a religious-chant ensemble at the radio, and he left more than fifty songs, among them Khoud Al-Risha, Dhawwaqi Al-Shawq, Ya Nas Ishu Khout and Fakkartina Ya Zahrat Al-Yasmin. He died on 23 April 1993. His brother, the artist Mohamed Al-Farjani, was a pioneer of the music department in Tripoli.
