عمر المزوغي

عمر المزوغي شاعر غنائي ليبي راحل، يُعد من أغزر شعراء الأغنية الليبية إنتاجاً وتنوعاً، وتغنى بأشعاره مطربون من ليبيا وتونس ومصر. من أشهر أعماله «يصبح عليك الورد» و«يا غالية يا حب قلبي كله» و«وليش اداري» و«تمشي على شط البحر» و«في ظل النخيل» و«العيون السود» و«وين الغزال». تعاون مع أجيال مختلفة من الملحنين منهم عثمان نجيم وحسن عريبي ومحمد بوقرين وإبراهيم أشرف وعلي ماهر وعطية محمد ووحيد خالد وأبوعجيلة محمد وعمر الجعفري، وغنى من كلماته محمد رشيد ومحمد خليل وسالمين الزروق والتونسي لطفي بوشناق. له إلى جانب الأغنية كتابا «عروس الريف» و«تأملات في الثقافة الشعبية»، وشارك في تقديم برامج في الإذاعة الليبية.

Omar Mezwaghi was a Libyan song lyricist, regarded as one of the most prolific and versatile poets of the Libyan song, with his words sung by artists from Libya, Tunisia and Egypt. His best known lyrics include "Yusbah Alik al-Ward", "Ya Ghalya Ya Hubb Qalbi Kullu", "W Lish Adari", "Timshi ala Shatt al-Bahr", "Fi Dhill al-Nakhil", "Al-Uyun al-Sud" and "Wayn al-Ghazal". He worked with successive generations of composers, among them Othman Nujaim, Hassan Uraibi, Mohamed Bougrine, Ibrahim Ashraf, Ali Maher, Attia Mohamed, Wahid Khaled, Abu Ajila Mohamed and Omar al-Jaafari, and his lyrics were sung by Mohamed Rashid, Mohamed Khalil, Salmin al-Zarrouq and the Tunisian singer Lotfi Bouchnak. Besides songwriting he wrote the books "Arous al-Rif" and "Taammulat fi al-Thaqafa al-Shaabiyya", and presented programmes on Libyan Radio.
