Abu Faraj

Abu Faraj is the kunya of the Libyan poet and composer Salem Bashun, author of the famous poem "This Land Is Our Honor" (Hadhihi al-Ard Hiya al-Ard Lana), which was sung by Mohamed Sedki and became associated with the February 17 revolution. The Bashun family is from the Si Khraibish area of Benghazi, a family known for its love of poetry and the arts that produced more than one Libyan song lyricist.
