Libya
Mohamed Salah was the stage name of Mohamed Saleh al-Tarhouni, a Libyan singer of the 1960s generation. He was a member of the vocal ensemble in Benghazi and was discovered by the artist Ali al-Shaaliya, who gave him his stage name. He sang to music by Ali al-Shaaliya, Suleiman bin Zablah, Abdeljalil Khaled, Ali Abu al-Saeed, al-Taher Omar, Abdessalam Farhat and Miftah al-Jadid, with lyrics by poets including Ashour Abdelaziz, Awad al-Houni, Youssef bin Sriti and Masoud al-Jaroushi. His output was small and his recordings remain rare; among his songs are "Ya Qamar Ya Aali", "Mansoura Ya Biladna", "Elli Shaqak" and "Watani Mijwad".
محمد صلاح اسم فني لمحمد صالح الترهوني، وهو مطرب ليبي من جيل فناني الستينات. كان من أعضاء المجموعة الصوتية ببنغازي، واكتشفه الفنان علي الشعالية الذي منحه اسمه الفني. غنى من ألحان علي الشعالية وسليمان بن زبلح وعبدالجليل خالد وعلي أبوالسعيد والطاهر عمر وعبدالسلام فرحات ومفتاح الجديد، ومن كلمات شعراء منهم عاشور عبدالعزيز وعوض الهوني ويوسف بن صريتي ومسعود الجروشي. كان قليل الإنتاج فبقيت تسجيلاته نادرة، ومن أعماله يا قمر يا عالي ومنصورة يا بلادنا واللي شقاك ووطني مجواد.
